I was looking over the shoulder of my co-worker, who needed some help with the final layout on a screen within the software our company sold. He used the design I gave him as his guide but was asking for any last-minute tweaks. As I looked, I could see that one of the boxes was a bit off. Not much, but enough that I could see it.

"That one needs to move just a hair to the right", I said. "Hmmmm, I think they're perfectly spaced. But I'll check," my coworker said.

Turns out that box was exactly 1 pixel off. If you are familiar at all with graphic design, a pixel is the smallest element used to describe the distance between objects, and I could see that minuscule discrepancy on the screen.

I tell that story to say this: I am a designer. I see. I can envision. My eyes are my gift. 

After working in marketing and graphic design for almost 6 years, I pivoted and began to do what I have always wanted to do: make homes beautiful. Design lights me up. It enlivens my soul. My name is Rachael Jones. I have been doing interior design in the Treasure Valley since 2008. I love to travel to get inspiration to bring back to the Boise area.

I love modern design and incorporating clean lines and bold accents into my projects in a tasteful way. At the start of my career in interior design I worked for a floor covering company as a project manager where I managed several crews and prepared client bids. I understand the ins and outs of the building process and how a custom build job unfolds. I am a decorated designer having won 25 awards as a freelance designer.

As an interior designer with Juniper Home Design, I bring our clients first class service throughout the design process. My job entails not only helping you with the selections for your home, but also using my experience and eye for design to ensure your home turns out even better than you expected. I assist clients with new builds, remodels and furniture/decor styling.
